SPRR loading Sea-Land Containers on SPRR Double Stack Container Cars

First ever double stack container car train contact 1981 between SPRR and Sea-Land. Train service from LA to Houston, Barbours Cut and New Orleans with empties and export loads returning to Oakland. Produced by ACF they will be the last double stack container cars produced by ACF. Bought in 1984 by Carl Icahn, he shut the plant on the eve of beginning of the double stack container car era.
