Typewritten note attached to back, "MEMO HAYDEN PLANETARIUM. This is a photograph of one of the "black-light" murals at the Planetarium showing the moon becoming immersed in the earth's shadow, at time of a lunar eclipse. The moon is not actually obscured at time of eclipse - it takes on a deep coppery tone because of the fact that some of the sun's light is refracted or beat into the earth's shadow. The lunar eclipse is one of the most beautiful and impressive of all natural phenomena. Frank Forrester TR 3 1300 Ext 363."
