Five fans of jazz music sit at the bar of the Blue Room in the American Jazz Museum in the 18th and Vine District of Kansas City, Missouri. The date, "2 16 '03," is imprinted by the camera on the bottom right-hand corner of the photograph. Most are looking at the stage but the woman in the foreground smiles directly at the camera.
