Description
Maersk Maxi-Stack I double stack container car being loaded at the Port of Tacoma by Valmet Straddle Carriers. Series MAEX 100000 - MAEX 100059 with delivery beginning in January 1990 from Gunderson Portland, Oregon and marketed by Greenbrier Intermodal. The Maxi-Stack I has 125 ton intermediate trucks and 70 ton end trucks with a lightweight of 177,100 LBS and a capacity per well of 124,600 LBS and the capability to load 2 20' or 1 40' international container in each well and either a 40' X 96" international container on top or a 48' X 102" domestic container on top. They were followed by K Line ordering 20 5 pack Maxi-Stack I double stack container cars series RBCS 1001 to RBCS 1029.
