A gentleman's bedroom in an unidentified home. A high-post rope-tied bed has a lace canopy suspended by the posts. A trunk at the end of the bed has a black top hat and a white top hat on it. A parasol, an umbrella, and a carpet bag are next to the trunk. The white top hat has some damage. To the right of the trunk is a toilet stand with a water pitcher and bowl on it. To the left of the bed is a night table. To the left of the table is a fireplace with a lace runner around the mantle, a clock and some glassware on the mantle, and tools to keep a fire by the fireplace. A chest of drawers to the extreme left with a valet on top. Possibly there is a trundle bed or bunk bed also in the room but only the bed posts are visible.
