Description

The K.C. Boat, Sports & Travel Show beauty queen closes her eyes while she's being crowned by the master of ceremonies during the K.C. Boat, Sports & Travel Show, held in Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. The master of ceremonies stands with his back to the photographer as he reaches up with both hands to place the crown on the queen's head. He wears a blue jacket and gray pants with black oxford shoes. The queen wears a black one-piece swimsuit, dark sheer hosiery and black sandals as she holds a bouquet of roses. Contestants 39 and 40 are standing to the queen's right. Contestant 39 wears a white one-piece swimsuit and white pump shoes. Contestant 40 wears a brown one-piece swimsuit and also wears white pump shoes. Contestant 37 is mostly out of the photograph on the left side. The contestants stand in front of a yellow Snark sailboat.
