Beauty contestants 27, 35, 36, 38 and 40 stand in front of a yellow Snark sailboat and a water ski during K.C. Boat, Sports & Travel Show, held in Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. All wear one-piece swimsuits and stand with their left foot slightly in front of their right and face to their right, except Contestant 40 farthest to the right in the photograph. All wear white pump shoes except Contestant 36 in the center. Contestant 27, farthest to the left in the photograph, wears a white swimsuit as she holds her contestant card in her left hand down by her left thigh. Contestant number 35 to the left of Contestant 27, wears a black, white, and tan swimsuit that zips up the front and holds her contestant number card in her right hand down by her right hip. The water ski leans against the wall between contestants 27 and 35. Contestant 36, in the center, wears a black swimsuit with dark sheer hosiery and black sandals as she holds her contestant card in both hands in the center of her body down by her hips. Contestant 38, second from the right, wears a white swimsuit that buttons up the front as she holds her contestant card in her left hand down by her left hip. Contestant 40, farthest to the right, wears a black swimsuit as she holds her contestant card in her left hand down by her left hip and smiles slightly towards her left.
