Miss Boating 1976 contestants 2, 15, 17, 22, 26 (31), 34, 36, and 44 stand on stage in front of a small yellow sailboat during the K.C. Boat, Travel and Sports Show which was held in the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. Contestant 2 stands farthest to the left wearing a white one-piece swimsuit with a green, purple, blue, and pink floral pattern and a skirt bottom. She holds her contestant card in her right hand by her right hip. To her left contestant 15 wears a green and blue swirl pattern one-piece swimsuit. She holds her contestant card in both her hands by her left thigh. To her left, contestant 17 wears a purple one-piece swimsuit that ties in the center of the bodice and brown sandals. She holds her contestant card in both her hands by her right thigh. To her left, contestant 22 wears a high neckline black swimsuit with a white wide collar and white pumps. She holds her contestant card in her left hand by her left hip. To her left, contestant 26 wears a white swimsuit with a green and pink fleur-di-lis pattern on it and white pumps. She holds her contestant card in her left hand by her left hip. To her left, contestant (31) wears a red one-piece swimsuit with a white floral pattern and white pumps. She holds her contestant card in her left hand by her left side but the number is not visible. To her left, contestant 34 wears a black one-piece swimsuit with black pumps. She holds her contestant card in her right hand by her right thigh. To her left, African American contestant 36 wears a white one-piece swimsuit and white sandals with heels. Farthest to the right, contestant 44 wears aqua one-piece swimsuit and white sandals. She holds her contestant card in her left hand by her left hip. An African American contestant is mostly out of the photograph on the left side but her hand and part of her contestant card are seen.
