Miss Boating contestants (6) (32), and (33), stand in front of a small yellow sailboat and smile as a man, possibly the emcee, puts a tiara on contestant (32) in the center of the group during the K.C. Boat, Sports & Travel Show held in the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. Contestant (6) is turned to her left to face the queen, wearing a lime green bikini. To her left, contestant (32) looks up grinning as she wears a tiara, a red and white gingham one-piece swimsuit that has white piping outlining the bodice. She holds a bouquet and her contestant card in both hands and arms. The emcee is face and most of his body is mostly obscured by the queen but his arms reaching up with the tiara to the top of contestant (32)'s head can be seen. Farthest to the right, contestant (33) looks to her left smiling at the queen's tiara as she wears a slate, turquoise, green and deep pink geometric design one-piece swimsuit
