Sharon Kreissler, Santa-Cali-Gon Princesses, Marsia Kolich and another Miss Independence Princess contestant stand on stage at Truman High School in Independence, Missouri. All wear a crown. The three to the left wear a corsage of a white carnation and greenery. Farthest to the left, the contestant wears a white ball gown-type evening gown with lace bell sleeves. She smiles as she looks to her left. To her left, the next contestant wears a white evening gown with a black and white lace full-length jacket with bell sleeves. To her left, possibly Sharon Kreissler, wears a this halter top evening gown with a white belt that has a silver buckle and a pleated skirt. She folds her hands together at her waist. To her left, a contestant wears a sky-blue sleeveless evening gown with a empire waistline sequined inset. She looks to her left at the next contestant, Marsia Kolich, who has her eyes closed and her mouth wide open. Marsia wears a pink long-sleeved evening gown with a silver sequined bodice. A red curtain is behind the contestants.
