Elizabeth Hill finds out she is the winner
Description
Elizabeth Hill, wearing a shining gun metal gray, halter-top evening gown with a horizontal pin at the base of the collar to form a keyhole in the bodice and a sequined, inset empire waistline lifts her eyebrows, eyes wide, and her mouth in an "O" as she is surprised at possibly the announcement is made that she's won Miss Kansas City 1975. The contest was held in Pierson Auditorium on the Volker campus of the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Four other contestants stand to Elizabeth's left and four contestants to her right in front of gold print drapes and letters on the drapes that spell "Miss Kansas City." Only "Miss Kansa" is visible in the photograph. The contestant Debbie Watts, farthest to the left, wears a puffed short-sleeved white floral evening gown with a white ribbon around the empire waistline and ruffles around the round collar. To her left, the contestant Peggy Ramsey wears a white sleeveless jersey evening gown with a scoop-neckline. To her left, the contestant Galen Everhart wears a long-sleeved, ankle-length gray dress with a wide, white collar and cuffs and a large burgundy bow tied below her chin. To her left, the contestant, Kathy Brinsa, holds a bouquet of red roses and greenery in her right arm and a trophy in her left hand as she wears a white empire waist evening gown with short puffy sleeves and a scoop-neckline. Elizabeth Hill is to her left. To Elizabeth's left, contestant Sally Prock's face is obscured by a microphone standing on the stage. She wears a red sleeveless evening gown with sequined spaghetti straps that attach to a sequin spaghetti-strap collar around her throat. She is facing slightly to her left. To her left, the contestant Roxanne Eakins holds a bouquet of red roses and greenery in her hands as she wears a white sleeveless, v-neckline evening gown with a wide inset empire waistband. She is looking to her left as she smiles over her left shoulder. To her left, the contestant Carol Stauffer wears a white, pink, lavender, and light blue floral, sleeveless evening gown with a crew-neckline and normal waistline. She folds her hands and smiles straight ahead. She is not looking in the same direction as all of the other contestants. To her left, the contestant is half out of the photograph but wears a mint green, long-sleeved evening gown with an empire waistline, a sequined bodice and a crew-neckline.
