Pam Eldred, Miss America 1970, laces her fingers together and looks slightly to her right as she wears a crown, a corsage, and a sky blue, scoop-neck, evening gown with silver baubles around the collar and waistline and a pleated skirt, silver dangle earrings, and white gloves that extend above the elbows during the Miss America Preliminary Contest, Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Missouri.
