Vicki Lou Bennett is the swimsuit winner during the 1973 Miss Raytown Pageant

Description

The Master of Ceremonies, wearing a black, long-coat, tuxedo, black bow tie, white tuxedo shirt with black piped ruffles and placard, holds his hand left hand out toward Vicki Lou Bennett who is walking toward him, to indicate that she is the swimsuit winner during the Miss America Preliminary Contest for Miss Raytown 1973 pageant held at Raytown South High School in Raytown, Missouri. Vicki Lou Bennett (16) wears a light pink, sleeveless, v-neck evening gown with a shiny satin pink bow at the bottom of the bodice, a pleated skirt, a pink hair ribbon on the back of her head and white pumps. Behind them a man is bending over just off stage and contestants Gwendolyn Kay Norton, Carla Jill Cathlina (21), Debra Gayle Haff (19), Dell Ann Smith (18), Charlotte Clark (17), Jolene D. Steve (15), Ann Marie Miller (14) stand in a semi-circle along the back of the stage smiling, and clapping. All contestants wear their blue and white contestant number ribbons attached to their dresses on their left hips.
