Description

During the Miss America Preliminary Contest for Miss Raytown 1973 held at Raytown South High School in Raytown, Missouri Vicki Lou Bennett (16) stands farthest to the left and wears a one-piece, scoop-neck swimsuit of which the weaving of the cloth creates a raised diamond pattern and white pumps. To her left, Charlotte Clark (17) wears a white, one-piece, v-neck swimsuit that zips up the center and white pumps. To her left, Dell Ann Smith (18) wears a navy blue, v-neck, one-piece swimsuit that zips up the center with a white zipper and a circle pull. To her left, Debra Gayle Haff (19) wears a pink, v-neck, one-piece swimsuit that has white piping outlining the collar and continuing a bit beyond the v-neck to her left side. To her left, Candis Blythe Culberson (20) wears a white, v-neck, one-piece swimsuit of which the weaving of the cloth creates a raised diamond pattern over solid white cloth that creates a body length diamond underneath. To her left, Carla Jill Cathlina (21) wears a white, v-neck, one-piece swimsuit that zips up the center. To her left, Judith Holliger (22) wears a navy blue, crew-neck, one-piece swimsuit that zips up the center with white outlining the zipper placard and the collar. Farthest to the right, Gwendolyn Kay Norton wears a brown, shiny, v-neck, one-piece swimsuit. All contestants wear their blue and white contestant number ribbons attached to their swimsuits on their left hips.
