Lisa Cole wears a top hap of red and white vertical stripes and a blue hatband with gold stars, a red turtleneck sweater with a red and white stripe at the base of the collar and a red, white and blue bow at the top, center of her chest, a wide blue belt, a white gathered skirt with a red and blue stripe around the bottom of the skirt, red tights and white, knee-high boots during the Miss America Preliminary Contest, for Miss Raytown 1973 held at Raytown South High School in Raytown, Missouri. She holds an flag of the United States across her body in both hands.
